Unhallowed is The Black Dahlia Murder's first full length album. Although I'm not really too fond of the demos they released before this, I can truly say that I love this album... this is the album that they began to master their sound (leading to what they sound like today, which is great). This is a really good Melodic Death Metal album and I recommend it to anyone looking for something heavy and, well... melodic. You gotta love the song Funeral Thirst... seriously, even the music video is just fucking cool. For the third time... see these guys life if you have a chance.

The Black Dahlia Murder's second album, Miasma, is simply a good fucking album. It has catchy, melodic riffs and solos, sick drumming, and awesome lyrics. I can't really choose between this album or Nocturnal, because they're both just so damn good. My favourite songs are definitely I'm Charming and Statutory Ape. Go see them live!

The Black Dahlia Murder's most recent release, Nocturnal, is basically what a horror movie would sound like if it was a metal album. The lyrics are brutal, deliciously evil, and just fucking awesome. I have seen these guys live four times and they're simply awesome--so go see them if you get the chance. I hate when people call this metalcore, or deathcore... I've even heard them labeled as blackcore (seriously, people... blackcore!?). If you have any ears for music then you would know by listening to them that The Black Dahlia Murder is fucking Melodic Death Metal (there is no "core" in this band at all). Aside from genres and labels and what-not... Nocturnal is simply just a nice and heavy album with awesome riffs, awesome drumming, awesome guitar solos, awesome vocals, and awesome lyrics. This album is, of course... highly recommended.
